When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emiliano Brillante made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emiliano Brillante in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabiano Alfani saved RadioShack-Syracusae from getting behind. Ciro Mazzocco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Pugliese in the 58th minute. After 60 played minutes RadioShack-Syracusae got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Kvíčala. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Pugliese got free with Ciro Mazzocco in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Frank Pugliese came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the RadioShack-Syracusae fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Pugliese couldn't finish the play. Frank Pugliese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
