After a rather tough play, Villa Cheloni's Ernesto Giacchetti got a free kick in the 5th minute. 9 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when FC Milano's Alex Gazza fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Achille Fiorentino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Arrigo Orioli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Milano's Alex Gazza got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arrigo Orioli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Gazza's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Arrigo Orioli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Gazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Arrigo Orioli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Gazza in the 21st minute of the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when FC Milano's Alex Gazza in the 22nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Arrigo Orioli was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Villa Cheloni through an amazing save. After 24 played minutes Villa Cheloni got a freekick which was hit by Carter Iachini. 28 minutes into the match, FC Milano's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Alfieri came free, but Ciro Salerni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Gazza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arrigo Orioli came out and tried to block the shot, but Alex Gazza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 34th minute. Carter Domenici who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Arrigo Orioli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Alex Gazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciccio Brunetta charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciccio Brunetta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Milano's Carter Domenici got a free kick in the 46th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Alfonso Alfieri made the kick off in the second half. Arrigo Orioli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Gazza's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. FC Milano's attack was well implemented in the 57th minute, but when Alex Gazza was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Achille Fiorentino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Gazza in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arrigo Orioli saved Villa Cheloni from getting behind. When Ernesto Giacchetti was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 61 minutes had been played. Eugenio Colecchia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugenio Colecchia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ciro Salerni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, FC Milano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demetrio Cauli to maneuver through the defense. Ciccio Brunetta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Ciro Salerni skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When FC Milano's Carter Domenici in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villa Cheloni's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Gazza in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arrigo Orioli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Achille Fiorentino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arrigo Orioli having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Alex Gazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Milano's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Gazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arrigo Orioli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute, Alfonso Alfieri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute Alex Gazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Orioli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute of the match Demetrio Cauli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arrigo Orioli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Villa Cheloni's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Gazza came free, but Arrigo Orioli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Demetrio Cauli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arrigo Orioli skillfully saved the ball. After 89 played minutes Villa Cheloni got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Alfieri. The attack was good, but when Alex Gazza in the 91st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Alex Gazza came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the FC Milano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Gazza couldn't finish the play.
