Claudio Villani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Palombina Nuova FC's Fausto Porreca got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Alexander Bellucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Villani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Fabiani to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Palombina Nuova FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Fabiani came free, but Claudio Villani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ssc bari 1908's Carmine Barbato managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Enrico Fabrizi in the 58 minute of the game. 60 minutes into the match, Palombina Nuova FC's goalkeeper Claudio Villani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Gori. 61 minutes into the game, Christian Biagetti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palombina Nuova FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ssc bari 1908 the free kick. After 61 played minutes Palombina Nuova FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Biagetti. In the 62nd minute, Alexander Bellucci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th match minute, Palombina Nuova FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrico Fabrizi to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Palombina Nuova FC defense, Alexander Bellucci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudio Villani. The Palombina Nuova FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudio Villani should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the game, Alexander Bellucci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ssc bari 1908's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palombina Nuova FC the free kick. Amos Salvadore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flavio Piermattei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amos Salvadore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Taglieri went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. 88 minutes into the match, Palombina Nuova FC's goalkeeper Claudio Villani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexander Bellucci. Claudio Villani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Fabiani in the 89th minute of play. Fortunato Barbanti made in the 92nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Angelo Fabiani immediately put the ball in play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ssc bari 1908 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
