Biagio Manzo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Damiano Leopardi got free in front of the goal in the 29th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ciccio Silvagni was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Beppe Papa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciccio Silvagni having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Settimello's zone, Damiano Leopardi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciccio Silvagni came out of the goal and Damiano Leopardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beppe Papa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciccio Silvagni having to interfere. Settimello's Ciccio Silvagni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beppe Papa in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Beppe Papa made the kick off in the second half. Christian Volpe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Biagio Manzo went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Settimello getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Andrea Bianco hit a great ball. Francesco Treglia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Volpe having to interfere. In the 69th minute of the match Grignano got a corner. Settimello's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Camillo Scafati ran over to the corner to take the kick. Grignano's Camillo Scafati was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ciccio Silvagni in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 72nd minute, Beppe Papa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ciccio Silvagni. The goal made the score 2-1. After a rather tough play, Grignano's Anselmo Landolfi got a free kick in the 79th minute. Christian Volpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Treglia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Biagio Manzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Settimello fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! Ciccio Silvagni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beppe Papa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
