Spectators: 7406 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Biegun in the 3rd minute of play forced Grignano's goalkeeper Christian Volpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Piovega's goal looked a bit too open when Beppe Papa came free, but Corrado Lizzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute Alfonso Ferrara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corrado Lizzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piovega's Corrado Lizzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beppe Papa in the 9th minute of play. In the 10thth minute of the game Olaf Biegun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grignano's Christian Volpe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olaf Bieguns short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Christian Volpe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Piovega's Olaf Biegun managed to work through Grignano's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Olaf Biegun dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Beppe Papa charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beppe Papa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Piovega's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grignano the free kick. Fedele De Fina kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Camillo Scafati sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Piovega's Corrado Lizzi didn't even have to move. 31 minutes into the match, Piovega's goal looked a bit too open when Beppe Papa came free, but Corrado Lizzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ercole Mazzini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Volpe having to interfere. Christian Volpe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonello Monzeglio in the 41st minute. Piovega's Corrado Lizzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beppe Papa in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Olaf Biegun made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Fortunato Berti kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Corrado Lizzi. That made the score 0-2 in the 51 minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Fortunato Berti dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Corrado Lizzi, 0-3. When Piovega's Olaf Biegun in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grignano's goalie prevented a goal. After 61 played minutes Grignano got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Ferrara. Alfonso Ferrara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Corrado Lizzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grignano's Christian Volpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonello Monzeglio in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Piovega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ercole Mazzini to maneuver through the defense. Christian Volpe came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Piovega's Olaf Biegun. But to his dismay, Olaf Biegun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Corrado Lizzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beppe Papa in the 75th minute of the match. Alfonso Ferrara hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 85thth minute of the game Olaf Biegun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grignano's Christian Volpe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Olaf Biegun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Grignano's Aldo Aceto got a free kick in the 91st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olaf Biegun in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Volpe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Although Piovega had been in control for most of the match, Grignano still came away with the win.
