Forlimpopoli AFC's Francesco Oriali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Cardano in the 23rd minute of play. Cosimo Gargano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Ciro Carosella came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Forlimpopoli AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Carosella couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciro Carosella to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Ciro Carosella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amedeo Rossini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amedeo Rossini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosimo Gargano in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Carosella in the 73rd minute of play forced Campogalliano's goalkeeper Amedeo Rossini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosimo Gargano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amedeo Rossini firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match was over Forlimpopoli AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Campogalliano throughout the match.
