Angelo Tagliente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberigo Venditti in the 11th minute. Cristiano Nardone came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Gambettola FC's Dennis De Amicis. But to his dismay, Dennis De Amicis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, Zinola's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Leopardi came free, but Cristiano Nardone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dennis De Amicis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Zinola's Bianco Mei got a free kick in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Gambettola FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Del Nero came free, but Angelo Tagliente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enzo Del Nero to make the kick off. Angelo Tagliente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberigo Venditti's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. In the 55thth minute of the game Enzo Del Nero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gambettola FC's Angelo Tagliente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gambettola FC's goalkeeper Angelo Tagliente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 58 in the game by Frank Leopardi from a close distance when the talented Cristiano Nardone managed to make a qualified save. Zinola's players were relieved. Enzo Del Nero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Angelo Tagliente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damiano Firmani kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Angelo Tagliente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Del Nero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zinola's Enzo Del Nero in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gambettola FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Bianco Mei fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zinola's protests and gave Bianco Mei a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Enzo Del Nero made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Tagliente. Gambettola FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferdinando Caniglia during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Zinola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinando Caniglia to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Frank Leopardi put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cristiano Nardone. Angelo Tagliente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Venditti in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Alberigo Venditti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Tagliente was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. If Alberigo Venditti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enzo Del Nero kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Zinola fully deserved thier win.
