When Ciro Barillari came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Mortaiolo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Barillari couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Victus Penta FC's Armando Piano got a free kick in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Mortaiolo's Enrico Petrosino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mortaiolo's Bruno Ceccarelli got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donato Antognoni charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donato Antognoni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Donato Antognoni kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Anfilogino Mauro scored 1-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dino Maia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 31 minutes of play, Mortaiolo's Ciro Barillari made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amerigo Ascoli was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute Ciro Barillari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amerigo Ascoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alvaro Schiavo was the one to do the kick off. Alvaro Schiavo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Mortaiolo's Ciro Barillari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amerigo Ascoli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anfilogino Mauro in the 68th minute of play forced Mortaiolo's goalkeeper Dino Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Armando Piano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Victus Penta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mortaiolo the free kick. After 70 played minutes Victus Penta FC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Piano. Bruno Ceccarelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Amerigo Ascoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Victus Penta FC's Ercole Sammartino got a free kick in the 74th minute. A collision led to Victus Penta FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ercole Sammartino hit a great ball. The long shot by Enrico Petrosino in the 83rd minute really tested Amerigo Ascoli's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Ciro Barillari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Victus Penta FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Armando Piano hit a great ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Ciro Barillari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mortaiolo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Barillari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Bruno during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, one of Victus Penta FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Victus Penta FC. Enrico Petrosino shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 94 minutes into the match, Victus Penta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Ceccarelli came free, but Amerigo Ascoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 96 in the game by Ciro Barillari from a close distance when the talented Amerigo Ascoli managed to make a qualified save. Victus Penta FC's players were relieved. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
