Dave Salerni's late challenge caught a Murano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dave Salerni helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes Zanetti FC got a freekick which was hit by Dave Salerni. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniele De Nardis got free with Diego Mazzini in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Franco Simeoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Cardella having to interfere. Dave Salerni might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fedele Cardella. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dave Salerni ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Simeoni in the 41st minute of play forced Murano FC's goalkeeper Fedele Cardella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 minutes, Alberto Migliorati mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Murano FC and the Zanetti FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 minutes of play, Zanetti FC's Franco Simeoni made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fedele Cardella was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Murano FC's zone, Franco Simeoni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fedele Cardella came out of the goal and Franco Simeoni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute of the match, Franco Simeoni tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fedele Cardella saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Franco Simeoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fedele Cardella was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Dave Salerni capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dave Salerni really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Murano FC's zone, Franco Simeoni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fedele Cardella came out of the goal and Franco Simeoni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 88 played minutes Dave Salerni rounded Murano FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. When Comunardo Petrosino fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Murano FC's protests and gave Comunardo Petrosino a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Murano FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Comunardo Petrosino hit a great ball. Ludomir Polek charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ludomir Polek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th match minute, Zanetti FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludomir Polek to maneuver through the defense. Zanetti FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
