After some careless play in the Pezze F.C. defense, Alessio Mazzocchetti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Gagliano. The Pezze F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Gagliano should have stopped the shot. Omar Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Gagliano having to interfere. Alessio Alati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinando Di Pasquale in the 27th minute of the match. Alessio Alati was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Biagio Soccio. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pezze F.C.'s goalkeeper Angelo Gagliano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angelo Gagliano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Achille Rizzo's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Lion's Alessio Alati proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Lion from getting a goal against them. Alessio Mazzocchetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Lion's Alessio Mazzocchetti shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 54th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Angelo Gagliano but with some difficulty. Alessio Mazzocchetti hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. A hard, long distance shot from Carmine Rosetta flew over the goal. If Achille Rizzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lion's Alessio Alati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmine Rosetta in the 73rd minute of play. Anfilogino Giampietro kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Achille Rizzo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Angelo Gagliano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alessio Mazzocchetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Gagliano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Rizzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Pezze F.C. succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Lion had controlled the match.
