A collision led to Volvera AFC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Anthony Niccolai hit a great ball. In the 21st minute of the match Last Resort FC got a corner. Volvera AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Demetrio Marzo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Volvera AFC! Donato Caiola shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 27 minutes into the game, Last Resort FC's Demetrio Marzo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fausto Di Fiore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, Last Resort FC's goalkeeper Elia Scarcella had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Rosini. In the 38th match minute, Volvera AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Rosini to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Amatori's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto Di Fiore was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Fausto Di Fiore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Attilio Di Mattia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Di Fiore made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Demetrio Marzo sent off a good shot on target. 83 minutes into the game, Alfredo Amatori recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fausto Di Fiore. Alfredo Amatori showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. In the 85th minute, Alberigo Altobelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfredo Amatori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Fausto Di Fiore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Di Fiore was a little too slow when Demetrio Marzo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-6. Last Resort FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
