Poiano AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Volvera AFC the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Poiano AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferruccio Corvasce to maneuver through the defense. If Dave Corvo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Florian Burgnich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Migliorati, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Fabio Bianchini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Di Fiore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Corvo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Volvera AFC booed when Poiano AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Busillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fabio Bianchini came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Poiano AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Bianchini couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Volvera AFC's Fausto Di Fiore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fortunato Spagnuolo in the 58th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Alex Antonini had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. A collision led to Volvera AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Carter Zaino hit a great ball. Dave Corvo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Fausto Di Fiore made a huge save. With a little luck, Volvera AFC's Fausto Di Fiore got control of the ball when Alfredo Scandella tried to sneak it across the goal line. Volvera AFC's Fausto Di Fiore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Volvera AFC from getting a goal against them. Dave Corvo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Di Fiore having to interfere. Dave Corvo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eraldo Vittorio's late challenge caught a Poiano AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dave Corvo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dave Corvo got free with Fausto Di Fiore in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute, Fabiano Biancone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Poiano AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
