Lencisa FC's Attilio Rago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Albanesi in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lencisa FC's Emiliano Baggio got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute of the match Federico Carnevale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Attilio Rago showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Antonello Di Giuseppe came free, but Angelo Di Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Attilio Rago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Albanesi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Concetto Stragapede in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Attilio Rago saved Lencisa FC from getting behind. Attilio Rago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Albanesi in the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Concetto Stragapede cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Attilio Rago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 40 minutes, Antonio Albanesi made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Lencisa FC's Attilio Rago tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Lencisa FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. River Plate were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Antonello Di Giuseppe made the kick off in the second half. Cristiano Placidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, River Plate's Cristiano Placidi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Attilio Rago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute Concetto Stragapede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Rago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 60 minutes, Concetto Stragapede managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Concetto Stragapede was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Antonio Albanesi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Attilio Rago was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Concetto Stragapede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Attilio Rago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69thth minute of the game Concetto Stragapede who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lencisa FC's Attilio Rago was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ercole Di Pietro kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Lencisa FC got a freekick which was hit by Florian Minichiello. River Plate's Angelo Di Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonello Di Giuseppe in the 77th minute of play. Antonio Albanesi in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Attilio Rago, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 85 minutes into the match, Lencisa FC's goalkeeper Attilio Rago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Albanesi. In the 88th minute, Antonello Di Giuseppe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Concetto Stragapede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Rago having to interfere. When Aurelio Cusumano came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Lencisa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Cusumano couldn't finish the play. Antonio Albanesi might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Attilio Rago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio Albanesi ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over River Plate could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lencisa FC throughout the match.
