Spectators: 7304 (Terracing: 5479, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fausto Castagna took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Bufalotta booed when Trevignano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Mussi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 3 played minutes Trevignano got a freekick which was hit by Alberigo Scalia. Armin Briganti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Di Marzio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Arrigo Oddi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 6th minute. Trevignano's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Eugenio Caponera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arrigo Oddi kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Fausto Castagna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Di Marzio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Angelo Di Marzio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Caponera, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Angelo Di Marzio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Castagna in the 23rd minute of play. Diego Pomponio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arrigo Oddi in the 31st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Armin Briganti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bufalotta's supporters rose to their feet, but Armin Briganti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Di Marzio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, Trevignano's Anthony Nardone seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Anthony Nardone the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Trevignano protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Anthony Nardone had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Arrigo Oddi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Diego Pomponio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enzo Tonon's late challenge caught a Bufalotta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enzo Tonon helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Trevignano's Enzo Tonon got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Arrigo Oddi made the kick off in the second half. Diego Pomponio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Mameli in the 52nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciccio Tuzzolino in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Di Marzio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Bufalotta's Armin Petruzzi got a free kick in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Trevignano's zone, Eugenio Caponera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Di Marzio came out of the goal and Eugenio Caponera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Bernardo Mameli came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Trevignano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Mameli couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the match, Trevignano's goalkeeper Angelo Di Marzio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugenio Caponera. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bufalotta! After a defensive mix-up in Bufalotta's zone, Arrigo Oddi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Pomponio came out of the goal and Arrigo Oddi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arrigo Oddi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diego Pomponio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Mameli in the 84th minute of the match. Alberigo Scalia hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Castagna in the 87th minute of play forced Trevignano's goalkeeper Angelo Di Marzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bufalotta's Diego Pomponio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arrigo Oddi in the 89th minute of play. After some careless play in the Trevignano defense, Ciccio Tuzzolino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Di Marzio. The Trevignano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Di Marzio should have stopped the shot. Armin Petruzzi charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armin Petruzzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Armin Petruzzi hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. In the 101st minute of the match Trevignano got a corner. Bufalotta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aldo Pedroni ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bufalotta had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
