Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Andrea Tullo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Andrea Tullo's late challenge caught a Novedrate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrea Tullo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Poggio Superiore FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrea Tullo to maneuver through the defense. Andrea Tullo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Enzo Cicchini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Poggio Superiore FC's Ciccio Chiola got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Donato Cara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavio Di Virgilio skillfully saved the ball. In the 17th match minute, Poggio Superiore FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosimo Catini to maneuver through the defense. Flavio Di Virgilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando De Bettin, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Armando De Bettin came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Novedrate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando De Bettin couldn't finish the play. After having played for 28 minutes, Ercole Tripodi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poggio Superiore FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercole Tripodi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Attilio Giardini charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Attilio Giardini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Novedrate's Attilio Giardini got a free kick in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Novedrate's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Tripodi came free, but Enzo Cicchini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Ferri might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Di Virgilio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio Ferri ran back to his position shaking his head. Ciccio Chiola kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Armando De Bettin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novedrate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando De Bettin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonio Ferri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselmo Cericola hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando De Bettin was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Ercole Tripodi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poggio Superiore FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Novedrate the free kick. Ercole Tripodi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Antonio Ferri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Flavio Di Virgilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Novedrate's Armando De Bettin got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Poggio Superiore FC's Flavio Di Virgilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando De Bettin in the 64th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Ercole Tripodi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poggio Superiore FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ercole Tripodi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enzo Cicchini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Novedrate's Armando De Bettin got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flavio Di Virgilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Ferri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciccio Chiola during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Poggio Superiore FC's Ciccio Chiola got a free kick in the 79th minute. Flavio Di Virgilio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Ferri in the 80th minute of play. Armando De Bettin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poggio Superiore FC's goalkeeper Flavio Di Virgilio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anselmo Cericola kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Antonio Ferri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Novedrate fully deserved thier win.
