No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Perilli to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Antonio Ferri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Novedrate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the game, Antonio Ferri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Adriano Grieco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute, Donato Cara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Segrate! Adriano Grieco went to the wrong direction when Donato Cara was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Novedrate's zone, Eraldo Colombi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enzo Cicchini came out of the goal and Eraldo Colombi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Armando De Bettin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
