The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Cera got free with Fabrizio Arcari in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Vezzano Ligure getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Franco Orlandi hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Mirijan Lebreht's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabrizio Arcari was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Alexander Cera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Arcari having to interfere. A collision led to Vezzano Ligure getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Elia Petrucci hit a great ball. Alexander Cera who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Fabrizio Arcari when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 14 minutes into the game, Legnano's Alexander Cera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabrizio Arcari made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Franco Orlandi struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Anfilogino Lizzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vezzano Ligure. 19 minutes into the game, Zacarías Bermudez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legnano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vezzano Ligure the free kick. In the 19th minute, Zacarías Bermudez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vezzano Ligure's Fabrizio Arcari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Paglione in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes, Adriano Astolfi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vezzano Ligure and the Legnano players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Orlandi in the 29th minute of play forced Legnano's goalkeeper Anfilogino Lizzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Legnano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eugenio Paglione in the 36th minute. The corner led Legnano's Eugenio Paglione to fire away a dangerous shot which Fabrizio Arcari despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Eugenio Paglione fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Arcari having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Eugenio Paglione had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabrizio Arcari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Cera in the 54th minute of play. Alexander Cera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eugenio Paglione sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Anthony De Tommasi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugenio Paglione's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrizio Arcari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. During the 66th minute of the match Adriano Astolfi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Adriano Astolfi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 67th minute, Adriano Astolfi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camillo Lepre in the 72nd minute of play forced Vezzano Ligure's goalkeeper Fabrizio Arcari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franco Orlandi kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Alexander Cera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Fabrizio Arcari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Legnano's Eugenio Paglione sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabrizio Arcari narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute Eugenio Paglione shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrizio Arcari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Paglione hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Eugenio Paglione fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Arcari having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Vezzano Ligure was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony De Tommasi to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Legnano were the better team. Legnano's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
