Bruno Micarelli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberigo Allegretti. FossaDeiLupi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fortunato Rondinelli struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Alberigo Allegretti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belvedere. Enzo Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Fortunato Rondinelli came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Belvedere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fortunato Rondinelli couldn't finish the play. After 18 played minutes FossaDeiLupi got a freekick which was hit by Amos Bottaro. Christian Armellini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alberigo Allegretti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Armellini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes, Demetrio Garofalo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belvedere and the FossaDeiLupi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Belvedere got a freekick which was hit by Demetrio Garofalo. 24 minutes into the match, Aldo Foni sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Damiano Caruso threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Aldo Foni this time. Damiano Caruso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Sivieri in the 26th minute of play. Damiano Caruso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Sivieri in the 34th minute of the match. Fortunato Rondinelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Allegretti having to interfere. Amos Bottaro charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amos Bottaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amos Bottaro hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Sivieri to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FossaDeiLupi's zone, Christian Armellini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberigo Allegretti came out of the goal and Christian Armellini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fortunato Rondinelli got free with Alberigo Allegretti in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Enzo Guerra put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Damiano Caruso. Damiano Caruso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Sivieri in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Ernesto Sivieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Caruso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demetrio Garofalo kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Damiano Caruso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Sivieri in the 75th minute of the match. Fortunato Rondinelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Alberigo Allegretti made a huge save. When Christian Armellini came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Belvedere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Armellini couldn't finish the play. Alberigo Allegretti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demetrio Garofalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Ernesto Sivieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
