Ennio Oriali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ennio Oriali could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Franco Pizzi made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Vexxintown's zone, Fortunato De Angelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Pizzi came out of the goal and Fortunato De Angelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fortunato De Angelis scored 1-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franco Pizzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amedeo Zola in the 40th minute of play forced JUVENTUS's goalkeeper Eugenio Farina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Vexxintown's Alberigo Moscatelli got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Franco Pizzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ennio Oriali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Trombetta charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernesto Trombetta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th minute, Ernesto Trombetta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amedeo Zola in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugenio Farina saved JUVENTUS from getting behind. JUVENTUS's Eugenio Farina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciccio Patricelli in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Vexxintown's goal looked a bit too open when Ennio Oriali came free, but Franco Pizzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Vexxintown's Ciccio Patricelli dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Vexxintown's Amedeo Zola got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 74 minutes of play, JUVENTUS's Ennio Oriali made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Pizzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arturo Garofalo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Amedeo Zola received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eugenio Farina came out and tried to block the shot, but Amedeo Zola slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 80th minute. With a little luck, JUVENTUS's Eugenio Farina got control of the ball when Amedeo Zola tried to sneak it across the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in JUVENTUS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! Franco Pizzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Oriali in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute, Vexxintown's Amedeo Zola ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eugenio Farina. Eugenio Farina yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see JUVENTUS lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
