In the 4th minute, Dennis Del Prete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciccio Rallo in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Latini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th minute Alfonso Giancristofaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Latini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Giancristofaro in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Latini saved Phoenix Football Club from getting behind. Ernesto Latini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Giancristofaro in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Fabrizio Baruffa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marask's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Phoenix Football Club the free kick. The Marask fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Marask's Alfonso Giancristofaro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anthony Vitullo during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ernesto Latini went to the wrong direction when Alexander Pasinati was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to Phoenix Football Club getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Amedeo Costa hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Alfonso Giancristofaro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Phoenix Football Club's Ernesto Latini. Ernesto Latini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alfonso Giancristofaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Giancristofaro in the 40th minute of play forced Phoenix Football Club's goalkeeper Ernesto Latini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Latini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Phoenix Football Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Marask were winning 0-4.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Di Giovanni to make the kick off. Ernesto Latini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Giancristofaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, Phoenix Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Di Giovanni to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Alfonso Giancristofaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marask's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Giancristofaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Latini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfonso Giancristofaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Latini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Giancristofaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfonso Giancristofaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Ernesto Latini made a huge save. If Alfonso Giancristofaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Giancristofaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Latini having to interfere. Ciccio Rallo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Phoenix Football Club's goalkeeper Ernesto Latini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonso Giancristofaro. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfonso Giancristofaro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernesto Latini. That made the score 0-5 in the 94 minute of play. 0-6 became the score in the 97th minute when Alfonso Giancristofaro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Marask left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Phoenix Football Club.
