Emiliano Renzetti hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Fogarole FC's Angelo Varglien got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Amerigo Capaldo came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Lisiera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amerigo Capaldo couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Fogarole FC's zone, Ercole Terenzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felice Fabiani came out of the goal and Ercole Terenzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ercole Simone's late challenge caught a Lisiera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ercole Simone helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lisiera booed when Fogarole FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ercole Simone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amerigo Capaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Ermanno Porta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Lisiera getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Anselmo Allemandi hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
