An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Vitullo in the 42nd minute of play forced Santa Caterina's goalkeeper Davide De Meis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Tiburtini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dino Proietti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ciccio Moschetta made a kick off. Davide Vitullo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Davide De Meis made a huge save. After 56 played minutes Ciccio Moschetta could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 0-2 into the left cross. 61 minutes into the match, Santa Caterina's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Carozza came free, but Davide De Meis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Santa Caterina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davide De Meis should have stopped the shot. Davide De Meis made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Alberto Carozza sent off a good shot on target. 94 minutes into the game, Ciccio Moschetta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Davide De Meis. Ciccio Moschetta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5.
