In the 36th minute Bruno Pallini managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. In the 38th minute, Bruno Pallini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, Cristoforo La Penna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Formigine AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 48 minutes into the match, Domenico De Donatis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fortunato Caccia. Formigine AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domenico De Donatis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Domenico De Donatis made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Formigine AFC's zone, Augusto Faiella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Caccia came out of the goal and Augusto Faiella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the game, Achille Rocco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formigine AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.C. Arezzo the free kick. Achille Rocco hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The supporters of A.C. Arezzo booed when Formigine AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achille Rocco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Domenico De Donatis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fortunato Caccia. Formigine AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domenico De Donatis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Federico Berardi fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formigine AFC's protests and gave Federico Berardi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th match minute, Formigine AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Berardi to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Pallini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Fortunato Caccia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 93 minutes of play, Formigine AFC's Cristoforo La Penna made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fedele Gregori was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristoforo La Penna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Fedele Gregori made a huge save. Despite being the better team, A.C. Arezzo failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
