Alex Iacovella might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armin Perazzolo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Iacovella ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex Iacovellas short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Armin Perazzolo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Senatore to strike the kick off in the second half. Gorizia's Adriano Ottaviani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Gorizia from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Rescaldina's Elia Cardano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adriano Ottaviani. Adriano Ottaviani yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. A collision led to Gorizia getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Alfonso Andreola hit a great ball. Ferdinando Bucciarelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Adriano Ottaviani made a huge save. Rescaldina's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
