Gallarate's Francesco Silvagni got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute Ennio Granata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Concetto Catapano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torre A Mare FC's Concetto Catapano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Torre A Mare FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Torre A Mare FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Anfilogino Domenici hit a great ball. Torre A Mare FC's Concetto Catapano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennio Granata in the 21st minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Torre A Mare FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo Mattioli to maneuver through the defense. Davide Persia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Concetto Catapano. Torre A Mare FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Francesco Silvagni could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Concetto Catapano however easily saved by the left post. Francesco Silvagni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Concetto Catapano made a huge save. Concetto Catapano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ennio Granata in the 35th minute of the match. If Francesco Silvagni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Francesco Silvagni could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Concetto Catapano however easily saved by the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ennio Granata made a kick off. Torre A Mare FC's Concetto Catapano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennio Granata in the 53rd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Gallarate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Palumbo to maneuver through the defense. Concetto Catapano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Silvagni, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Concetto Catapano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Granata in the 72nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francesco Silvagni in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Concetto Catapano saved Torre A Mare FC from getting behind. In the 74th match minute, Torre A Mare FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Di Luzio to maneuver through the defense. Concetto Catapano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Silvagni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
