To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the match, Borgo Bainsizza's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Ilica came free, but Eraldo Caneva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remus Ilica to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Canonica FC were awarded a corner. Canonica FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
