After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Eugenio Aureli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crociati-Gialloblù's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Aureli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Rossini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudio Rossini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Panno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amedeo Panno to make the kick off. Borgo Muratori's supporters crossed their fingers, but Attilio Baciadonne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Borgo Muratori defense, Eugenio Aureli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudio Rossini. The Borgo Muratori fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudio Rossini should have stopped the shot. Claudio Rossini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Aureli, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
