Antonio La Penna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, carrarese's Antonio La Penna got control of the ball when Diego Novella tried to sneak it across the goal line. During the 65th minute of the match Attilio Giuliani completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. Matera Station's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonello Crosta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonello Crosta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio La Penna having to interfere. Antonello Crosta struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Antonio La Penna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matera Station. Matera Station's Antonello Crosta got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuele Guarrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Matera Station could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than carrarese throughout the match.
