When Anfilogino Oroni fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.C. Bunga Bunga's protests and gave Anfilogino Oroni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, A.C. Bunga Bunga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anfilogino Oroni to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Ferdinando Feltrin suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 16 minutes into the game, Aurelio Cassone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Terra Amata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.C. Bunga Bunga the free kick. After 17 played minutes Terra Amata got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Cassone. When Bianco De Filippo came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the A.C. Bunga Bunga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bianco De Filippo couldn't finish the play. Comunardo Guarisi kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beppe Di Silvio in the 31st minute of play forced A.C. Bunga Bunga's goalkeeper Corrado Visintin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to A.C. Bunga Bunga getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ercole Miccio hit a great ball. A.C. Bunga Bunga's Corrado Visintin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beppe Di Silvio in the 34th minute of play. If Beppe Di Silvio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, Terra Amata's Bernardo Marsilio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corrado Visintin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Dave Di Matteo's late challenge caught a A.C. Bunga Bunga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dave Di Matteo helped the player get up and apologised. Bernardo Marsilio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to A.C. Bunga Bunga getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Fedele Genta hit a great ball. Corrado Visintin made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Bernardo Marsilio sent off a good shot on target. Bernardo Marsilio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Corrado Visintin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Ercole Miccio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Marsilio scored 1-2 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Corrado Visintin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabio Giordani kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of A.C. Bunga Bunga booed when Terra Amata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Marsilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. A.C. Bunga Bunga's Corrado Visintin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beppe Di Silvio in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, A.C. Bunga Bunga's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bernardo Marsilio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 76 minutes into the match, A.C. Bunga Bunga's goalkeeper Corrado Visintin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Marsilio. Bernardo Marsilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corrado Visintin having to interfere. If Beppe Di Silvio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Terra Amata supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Terra Amata would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
