The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SALI FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Achille Picca ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Russi FC's corner Achille Picca fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Frank Grossi quite easily take care of the ball. Demetrio Iacovone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Concetto Larizza having to make a save. In the 17th minute, Alessandro Daniele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Russi FC's goalkeeper Concetto Larizza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Tarulli. Demetrio Iacovone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Concetto Larizza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Tarulli in the 22nd minute. SALI FC's Frank Grossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Anelli in the 23rd minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, SALI FC's Antonio Tarulli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Concetto Larizza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 33 minutes into the match, Russi FC's goalkeeper Concetto Larizza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Tarulli. Alessandro Rossetti struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Concetto Larizza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SALI FC. Concetto Larizza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Matteucci in the 42nd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonio Tarulli made a kick off. Demetrio Iacovone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Concetto Larizza having to interfere. Concetto Larizza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Tarulli, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Antonio Tarulli scored 3-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Concetto Larizza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Demetrio Iacovone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Concetto Larizza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SALI FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Demetrio Iacovone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Concetto Larizza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Antonio Tarulli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Tarulli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Concetto Larizza having to interfere. Antonio Tarulli spun around in front of the goal 78 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Russi FC's goal. Antonio Tarulli scored 4-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Concetto Larizza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antonio Tarulli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Tarulli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Concetto Larizza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Concetto Larizza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Rossetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SALI FC fully deserved thier win.
