Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ciro Tiburtini took the kick off in the first half of the match. The tension between the Bergamo FC and the Phoenix players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aldo Caneva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Tiburtini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Piccirilli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fortunato Marchegiani's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Tiburtini in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Caneva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Bergamo FC's Amerigo Ciccarelli got a free kick in the 19th minute. A collision led to Bergamo FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Cosimo Cipriani hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the game, Federico Amadei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aldo Caneva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aldo Caneva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Conti in the 32nd minute of play. Aldo Caneva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Federico Amadei went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Jens-Åke Kollberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aldo Caneva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Tiburtini's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Ludvig Grep got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Phoenix were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute, Alberto Di Placido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aldo Caneva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludvig Grep, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th play minute Cesare Caiola came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aldo Caneva. 0-4. With a little luck, Bergamo FC's Aldo Caneva got control of the ball when Ciro Tiburtini tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ciro Tiburtini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Bencivenni hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Fortunato Marchegiani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. When the match was over Phoenix could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bergamo FC throughout the match.
