Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ermanno Cicchini took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Ciccio Passerini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermanno Cicchini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Casaleggio Novara AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Gianfrancesco came free, but Edmondo De Sisti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amerigo Facchini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermanno Cicchini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emiliano Proietti took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmondo De Sisti. Edmondo De Sisti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Edmondo De Sisti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Palladino in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes Casaleggio Novara AFC got a freekick which was hit by Filippo Cannone. Emiliano Proietti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Edmondo De Sisti made a huge save. Amerigo Facchini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermanno Cicchini in the 30th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alessio Gianfrancesco made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Attilio Rosati was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Casaleggio Novara AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Varano the free kick. Attilio Rosati hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Alessio Gianfrancesco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ermanno Cicchini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Proietti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo De Sisti having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Filippo Cannone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Casaleggio Novara AFC and the San Varano players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Casaleggio Novara AFC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Filippo Cannone hit a great ball. Daniele Palladino's late challenge caught a Casaleggio Novara AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniele Palladino helped the player get up and apologised. Amerigo Facchini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciccio Passerini in the 70th minute. Ermanno Cicchini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciccio Passerini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Amerigo Facchini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amerigo Facchini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermanno Cicchini, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Ciccio Passerini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casaleggio Novara AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciccio Passerini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciccio Passerini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Amerigo Facchini made a huge save. In the 84th minute, Ermanno Cicchini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Alessio Gianfrancesco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Varano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessio Gianfrancesco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fortunato Verdini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amerigo Facchini having to interfere. If Ermanno Cicchini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciccio Passerini who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Amerigo Facchini when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
