With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Saturno in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Costacurta saved A.S Slipknot from getting behind. A collision led to Itafani getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Bernardo Biavati hit a great ball. Flavio Piola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Polito in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of A.S Slipknot booed when Itafani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Stragapede didn't get a good kick on the ball. Concetto Di Mascio took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Piola. Flavio Piola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Concetto Di Mascio scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavio Piola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Concetto Di Mascio managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.S Slipknot's supporters rose to their feet, but Concetto Di Mascio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Piola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Polito to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Itafani's Alex Saturno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristiano Costacurta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Saturno in the 56th minute of play forced A.S Slipknot's goalkeeper Cristiano Costacurta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Costacurta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Gervasi in the 57th minute of play. If Arturo Gervasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. In the 90th minute of the match Dino Gaspari shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavio Piola showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Concetto Di Mascio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
