The audience thought a goal was coming when Francesco Donato got free with Biagio Bianchi in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, Vigolante's goalkeeper Biagio Bianchi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francesco Donato. Fulvio Bocchi came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Vigolante's Emanuele Chiappini. But to his dismay, Emanuele Chiappini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Francesco Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Biagio Bianchi made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Chiappini in the 38th minute of play forced Sarbia's goalkeeper Fulvio Bocchi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Coccolone's late challenge caught a Vigolante's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciccio Di Francesco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Francesco Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Sarbia's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuele Chiappini came free, but Fulvio Bocchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Biagio Bianchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciccio Di Francesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Biagio Bianchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosimo Furino in the 83rd minute of play.
