The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Tiorre FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosimo Petrocchi to maneuver through the defense. If Franco Valeriani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tiorre FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Antonello Di Iorio 6 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 10th match minute, Bagnara AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Piacentini to maneuver through the defense. Tiorre FC's Eugenio Tripodi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Tiorre FC from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute Antonello Di Iorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Tripodi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Antonello Di Iorio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bagnara AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonello Di Iorio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Tripodi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dino Colelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Eugenio Tripodi made a huge save. 27 minutes into the game, Antonello Di Iorio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eugenio Tripodi. Antonello Di Iorio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, Antonello Di Iorio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eugenio Tripodi, 3-0. 44 minutes into the game, Bagnara AFC's Franco Valeriani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eugenio Tripodi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Franco Valeriani took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugenio Tripodi. Eugenio Tripodi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Antonello Di Iorio struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Eugenio Tripodi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bagnara AFC. Franco Valeriani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Antonello Di Iorio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bagnara AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonello Di Iorio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Tripodi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Antonello Di Iorio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Antonello Di Iorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Tripodi having to interfere. Antonello Di Iorio took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugenio Tripodi. Eugenio Tripodi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Bagnara AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
