Magenta Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Bardella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Bardella in the 16th minute of play forced Palestro AFC's goalkeeper Flavio Lattanzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anselmo Vasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Lattanzio having to interfere. Flavio Lattanzio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessio Pollastrini in the 22nd minute. Anselmo Vascos short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Flavio Lattanzio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Bardella in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Lattanzio saved Palestro AFC from getting behind. After 32 played minutes Palestro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Montanari. A collision led to Magenta Team getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Anselmo Vasco hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Anselmo Vasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Aurelio Bardella managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magenta Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Bardella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Lattanzio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the match, Palestro AFC's Ferruccio Verdone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Cianci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurelio Bardella made a kick off. The supporters of Palestro AFC booed when Magenta Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Pollastrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Aurelio Bardella notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Palestro AFC's Flavio Lattanzio. Flavio Lattanzio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute Aurelio Bardella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Lattanzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Anselmo Vasco came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Magenta Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Vasco couldn't finish the play. Aurelio Bardella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Lattanzio having to interfere. Flavio Lattanzio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Bardella in the 94th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Magenta Team players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
