Spectators: 7253 (Terracing: 5475, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Angelo Ruscitti got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Scaltenigo's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Curti came free, but Aurelio Damiani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scaltenigo's Aurelio Damiani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Scaltenigo from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavio De Luca in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabiano Mazzocco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurelio Damiani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Curti in the 14th minute of the match. When Scaltenigo's Angelo Ruscitti in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SS MIlazzo's goalie prevented a goal. Flavio De Luca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabiano Mazzocco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio De Luca in the 32nd minute of the match. If Flavio De Luca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Scaltenigo's goalkeeper Aurelio Damiani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Aurelio Damiani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Mameli, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Scaltenigo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! The referee gave SS MIlazzo a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dario Causio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Scaltenigo's Aurelio Damiani. 1-0. Aurelio Damiani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eraldo Mameli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 played minutes SS MIlazzo got a freekick which was hit by Cosimo Orioli. Angelo Ruscitti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edmondo De Bettin fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scaltenigo's protests and gave Edmondo De Bettin a yellow card for diving instead. Eraldo Mameli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Damiani having to interfere. SS MIlazzo's Fabiano Mazzocco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Ruscitti in the 78th minute of play. Fabiano Mazzocco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavio De Luca in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Aurelio Curti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SS MIlazzo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in SS MIlazzo's zone, Flavio De Luca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Mazzocco came out of the goal and Flavio De Luca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio De Luca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Mazzocco having to interfere. The SS MIlazzo support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
