Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Federico Giacomini got the match started through his kick off. Rapallo's Alberto Coccolone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Fiorentino in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, A.S.GUBBIO's Fabiano Berardini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Coccolone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Fabiano Berardini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Alberto Coccolone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Augusto Fiorentino came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the A.S.GUBBIO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Fiorentino couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute Augustijn De Loose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Coccolone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augustijn De Loose in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Coccolone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rapallo's Federico Giacomini got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Fiorentino in the 22nd minute of play forced Rapallo's goalkeeper Alberto Coccolone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Augusto Fiorentino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alberto Coccolone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Federico Giacomini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvald Påk having to interfere. Augusto Fiorentino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Coccolone having to interfere. In the 41st minute Augusto Fiorentino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Coccolone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Federico Giacomini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Fiorentino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Coccolone having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rapallo's zone, Augusto Fiorentino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Coccolone came out of the goal and Augusto Fiorentino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augustijn De Loose stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Coccolone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Fiorentino in the 52nd minute of play. Augustijn De Loose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A.S.GUBBIO's Dave Giansante suffered a sore thigh after 61 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 61 minutes, Domenico Di Franco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rapallo and the A.S.GUBBIO players grew even worse after the yellow card. A.S.GUBBIO's Enrico Rubini was substituted for Dave Giansante. In the 63rd match minute, Rapallo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Di Franco to maneuver through the defense. Rapallo's Federico Giacomini got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Coccolone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Fiorentino in the 70th minute of the match. Alberto Coccolone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Fiorentino in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of A.S.GUBBIO booed when Rapallo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenico Di Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Augustijn De Loose got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute Augusto Fiorentino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Coccolone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domenico Di Franco took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvald Påk. Osvald Påk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 92nd minute, Attilio Di Giandomenico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Rapallo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching A.S.GUBBIO's performance. The match ended with a win for A.S.GUBBIO.
