When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Demetrio La Marca took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ferruccio Cerrone to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Federico Boninsegna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gelbison Cilento's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Boninsegna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferruccio Cerrone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Demetrio La Marca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferruccio Cerrone having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armin Chioda made a kick off. Daniele Corsi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. In the 52nd match minute, Santa Lucia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessio Cipolla to maneuver through the defense. After taking down the ball on Gelbison Cilento's corner Alvise Mazzone fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ferruccio Cerrone quite easily take care of the ball. A wasted opportunity for Gelbison Cilento. With a little luck, Gelbison Cilento's Davide Iacomini got control of the ball when Carlo Chizzo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute, Arturo Felicetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santa Lucia's Ferruccio Cerrone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demetrio La Marca in the 76th minute of play. Gelbison Cilento's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Armin Chioda scored to the left of an out of position Davide Iacomini, making the score, 3-1. 82 minutes into the match, Federico Boninsegna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferruccio Cerrone. Santa Lucia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Boninsegna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. 87 minutes into the game, Gelbison Cilento's Demetrio La Marca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ferruccio Cerrone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Federico Boninsegna struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Ferruccio Cerrone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gelbison Cilento. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gelbison Cilento fully deserved thier win.
