Davide Iacomini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francesco Imperatrice in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davide Iacomini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Francesco Imperatrice had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Bonsignore came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Gelbison Cilento's Federico Boninsegna. But to his dismay, Federico Boninsegna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, FC Bari 1908's goalkeeper Claudio Bonsignore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Federico Boninsegna. Daniele Corsi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Davide Iacomini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francesco Imperatrice's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Davide Iacomini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Imperatrice, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Imperatrice in the 35th minute of play forced Gelbison Cilento's goalkeeper Davide Iacomini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, FC Bari 1908's goalkeeper Claudio Bonsignore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Federico Boninsegna. After some careless play in the Gelbison Cilento defense, Corrado Corvasce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davide Iacomini. The Gelbison Cilento fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davide Iacomini should have stopped the shot. After 46 played minutes FC Bari 1908 got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Di Luzio. Claudio Bonsignore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demetrio La Marca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Claudio Bonsignore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demetrio La Marca in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio La Marca in the 53rd minute of play forced FC Bari 1908's goalkeeper Claudio Bonsignore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Davide Iacomini made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Corrado Corvasce sent off a good shot on target. If Demetrio La Marca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the game, Gelbison Cilento's Daniele Corsi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudio Bonsignore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 63 minutes into the game, Armin Sciascia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bari 1908's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gelbison Cilento the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of FC Bari 1908:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gelbison Cilento:s goal. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Gelbison Cilento. Alvise Mazzone stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Claudio Bonsignore. 3-1. After 71 minutes of play, Gelbison Cilento's Demetrio La Marca made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudio Bonsignore was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute, Daniele Corsi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute, Demetrio La Marca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gelbison Cilento fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corrado Corvasce got free with Davide Iacomini in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Bari 1908 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gelbison Cilento.
