Thanks to some nice moves Eraldo Strazzabosco could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Alex Rucci however easily saved by the left post. Alex Rucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eraldo Strazzabosco in the 18th minute. Eraldo Strazzabosco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Alex Rucci made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Montanaro AFC's Adriano Bisegna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alex Rucci. Alex Rucci yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. If Bernardo Luciani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Eraldo Strazzabosco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montanaro AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eraldo Strazzabosco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Rucci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Montanaro AFC booed when Villanova FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Cesare didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Cristoforo Marchesani shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Rucci showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felice Graziani during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Enrico Giammarino, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 94 minutes into the game, Montanaro AFC's Adriano Bisegna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Rucci made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0.
