Nerviano's Franco Balzani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Nerviano from getting a goal against them. Fortunato Carozza struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Franco Balzani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tipano. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Daniele Betti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tipano's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniele Betti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Balzani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the game, one of Nerviano:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dino Navarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nerviano had won after a very even match.
