After a defensive mix-up in Montisola's zone, Eraldo Di Cristofaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Cesaroni came out of the goal and Eraldo Di Cristofaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arrigo Vierchowod made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferruccio Minicucci in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Montisola's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Moschetta came free, but Alberto Cesaroni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eraldo Di Cristofaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st match minute, Piacenza Calcio 1919 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Mattioli to maneuver through the defense. Eugenio Fulgenzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Cesaroni having to interfere. If Federico Franceschi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Montisola's Federico Franceschi, in the 94th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Montisola. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
