Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Cosenza Calcio F.C booed when Molino Nuovo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attilio Antognoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Cosenza Calcio F.C's Fabiano Schiacciacasse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anfilogino Bonanni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabiano Schiacciacasse succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 23rd minute, Ettore Lozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Fabiano Schiacciacasse notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Molino Nuovo's Anfilogino Bonanni. Anfilogino Bonanni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Cosenza Calcio F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Molino Nuovo:s goal. When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Molino Nuovo's Arrigo Santo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aurelian Cutieru. Cosenza Calcio F.C's Fabiano Schiacciacasse got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberigo Tiberio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anfilogino Bonanni having to interfere. The Molino Nuovo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cosenza Calcio F.C were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabiano Schiacciacasse made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Molino Nuovo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Mauro to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Carafa charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Carafa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Ettore Castrucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Ettore Lozzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aldo Castronovo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Cutieru having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Ettore Lozzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cosenza Calcio F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Ettore Lozzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anfilogino Bonanni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anfilogino Bonanni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Schiacciacasse's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Ettore Lozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Cosenza Calcio F.C's Anfilogino Bonanni threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fabiano Schiacciacasse, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 91st minute, Fabiano Schiacciacasse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anfilogino Bonanni was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. When the final whistle sounded Cosenza Calcio F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Molino Nuovo.
