Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alessandro Schirru kicked off to start the match. Michelino's Amedeo Scirea got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Pollastrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesco Albanesi in the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Anthony Giardino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Pollastrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amedeo Scirea made a kick off. A collision led to Cosanostra getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Anthony Giardino hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Cosanostra's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Scirea came free, but Arturo Oroni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camillo Renzi hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Arturo Oroni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anfilogino Gagliano, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. With a little luck, Michelino's Bruno Pollastrini got control of the ball when Claudio Scoca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anfilogino Gagliano's late challenge caught a Cosanostra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anfilogino Gagliano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Anfilogino Gagliano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cosanostra walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
