F.C. Ikarux's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Er Nuovo Papato 2340 A.D. the free kick. In the 3rd minute, Fulvio Scibilia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the game, Angelo Arcangeli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Biagio Bani. Angelo Arcangeli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Er Nuovo Papato 2340 A.D.'s goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Arcangeli came free, but Biagio Bani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Anfilogino Facchini notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of F.C. Ikarux's Felice De Paolis. Felice De Paolis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emiliano Bergomi struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Felice De Paolis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Er Nuovo Papato 2340 A.D.. Dario Pacella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felice De Paolis having to interfere. F.C. Ikarux's Felice De Paolis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferruccio Luzi in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Er Nuovo Papato 2340 A.D. were awarded a corner. Ferruccio Luzi went to the cornerflag to take it. When Anfilogino Facchini fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Er Nuovo Papato 2340 A.D.'s protests and gave Anfilogino Facchini a yellow card for diving instead. Felice De Paolis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Pacella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Vespa in the 30th minute of play forced F.C. Ikarux's goalkeeper Felice De Paolis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dario Pacella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Er Nuovo Papato 2340 A.D.'s Anfilogino Facchini got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Dario Pacella notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of F.C. Ikarux's Felice De Paolis. Felice De Paolis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dario Pacella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Felice De Paolis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emiliano Bergomi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felice De Paolis having to interfere. Felice De Paolis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferruccio Luzi's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

Ferruccio Luzi scored 1-3 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felice De Paolis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alvaro Cipriani hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Emiliano Bergomi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Anfilogino Facchini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Er Nuovo Papato 2340 A.D.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Anfilogino Facchini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felice De Paolis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Tagliente in the 60th minute of play forced Er Nuovo Papato 2340 A.D.'s goalkeeper Biagio Bani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dario Pacella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Bianco Marinucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dario Pacella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Felice De Paolis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Biagio Bani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Arcangeli in the 69th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes F.C. Ikarux got a freekick which was hit by Diego Monti. If Ferruccio Luzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Emiliano Bergomi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Er Nuovo Papato 2340 A.D. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. If Ferruccio Luzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, F.C. Ikarux's Felice De Paolis got control of the ball when Emiliano Bergomi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th minute, Dario Pacella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anfilogino Facchini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felice De Paolis having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, F.C. Ikarux's goalkeeper Felice De Paolis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferruccio Luzi. Biagio Bani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Arcangeli in the 92nd minute of the match. Anfilogino Facchini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Er Nuovo Papato 2340 A.D. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than F.C. Ikarux.
