After 18 minutes, Angelo Guerrieri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Impero Romanista and the Savarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th minute Attilio Di Sante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Lepre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Eraldo Nanni put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fabio Lepre. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eraldo Nanni in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Lepre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute Eraldo Nanni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Lepre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Donato Schirone made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eraldo Nanni in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Lepre saved Impero Romanista from getting behind. Davide Nannis short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Augusto Ferrante to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 54 minutes into the game, Attilio Di Sante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savarna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Impero Romanista the free kick. After a rather tough play, Savarna's Attilio Di Sante got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th match minute, Impero Romanista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Guerrieri to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Impero Romanista's goal looked a bit too open when Attilio Di Sante came free, but Fabio Lepre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Impero Romanista defense, Attilio Di Sante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Lepre. The Impero Romanista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Lepre should have stopped the shot. Attilio Di Sante took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabio Lepre. Fabio Lepre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Attilio Di Sante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute Amos Lemme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Lepre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Impero Romanista's goal looked a bit too open when Eraldo Nanni came free, but Fabio Lepre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Eraldo Nanni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabio Lepre was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. The supporters of Savarna booed when Impero Romanista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Schirone didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eraldo Nanni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Impero Romanista's Donato Schirone got a free kick in the 84th minute. Attilio Di Sante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Fabio Lepre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Savarna were the better team. Savarna's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
