Franco Mastrocola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Massa in the 16th minute of play forced Athletich Devil's goalkeeper Franco Mastrocola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gwidon Bycofski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Franco Mastrocola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Concetto Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franco Mastrocola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Palomba, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Gwidon Bycofski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Grande having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Athletich Devil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Tagliente to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, Frank Piscitelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Athletich Devil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poiano the free kick. Frank Piscitelli hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Athletich Devil booed when Poiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Concetto Contestabile didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Poiano's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Tocchetto came free, but Augusto Grande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gwidon Bycofski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gwidon Bycofski got free with Augusto Grande in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gwidon Bycofski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Augusto Grande came out and tried to block the shot, but Gwidon Bycofski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 38th minute. Alberigo Di Tommaso's late challenge caught a Athletich Devil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberigo Di Tommaso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Poiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Di Tommaso to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
52 minutes into the game, Athletich Devil's Angelo Di Silvio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augusto Grande made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a little luck, Athletich Devil's Franco Mastrocola got control of the ball when Cristiano Palomba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Franco Mastrocola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Di Tommaso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Athletich Devil's Alfonso Oroni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Grande narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 72 minutes into the game, Gwidon Bycofski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Augusto Grande was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Gwidon Bycofski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Athletich Devil's supporters rose to their feet, but Gwidon Bycofski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Grande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 77 minutes, Concetto Contestabile mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poiano and the Athletich Devil players grew even worse after the yellow card. 76 minutes into the game, one of Poiano:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Concetto Contestabile hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Gwidon Bycofski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Athletich Devil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gwidon Bycofski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 88 played minutes Athletich Devil got a freekick which was hit by Frank Piscitelli. In the 90th minute of the match Fabrizio Pellecchia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franco Mastrocola showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Bycofski in the 91st minute of play forced Poiano's goalkeeper Augusto Grande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 minutes of play, Athletich Devil's Alfonso Oroni made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augusto Grande was left in no man's land by his defense there! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Athletich Devil had played much better football throughout.
