Emilio Caniglia made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Fausto Di Nucci sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Montale getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Augusto Sciascia hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Mazzone in the 14th minute of play forced Montale's goalkeeper Emilio Caniglia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Caniglia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Mazzone in the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to Montale getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Emiliano Santini hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Montale's zone, Fausto Di Nucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Caniglia came out of the goal and Fausto Di Nucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Di Nucci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Emilio Caniglia made a huge save. Fortunato Mazzone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilio Caniglia made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Fausto Di Nucci sent off a good shot on target. Emilio Caniglia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Mazzone in the 31st minute of play. Fortunato Mazzone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Emilio Caniglia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emilio Caniglia was a little too slow when Fausto Di Nucci got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-0. Fortunato Mazzone received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emilio Caniglia came out and tried to block the shot, but Fortunato Mazzone slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 42nd minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Sciascia to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Corrado Navarra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Conca Del Sole's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corrado Navarra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fortunato Mazzone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilio Caniglia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corrado Navarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Fausto Di Nucci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 75th minute Fortunato Mazzone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Caniglia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conca Del Sole walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
