Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ferdinando Giancola kicked off to start the match. Eugenio De Palma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinando Giancola in the 3rd minute of play. Emiliano Gabriele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio De Palma having to interfere. AC Monteverde's Enzo Donatelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save AC Monteverde from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, AC Monteverde's Emiliano Bellomo got a free kick in the 8th minute. Enzo Donatelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Lupi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anthony Lupi might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enzo Donatelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anthony Lupi ran back to his position shaking his head. Alexander Ciccarelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Enzo Donatelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of AC Monteverde booed when Variney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demetrio Festa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, AC Monteverde's Achille Casadei tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 39 minutes, Alexander Ciccarelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Variney FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Ciccarelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enzo Donatelli made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Alexander Ciccarelli sent off a good shot on target. The Variney FC fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Variney FC's Alexander Ciccarelli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anthony Lupi to make the kick off. Enzo Donatelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Lupi, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, AC Monteverde's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Lupi came free, but Enzo Donatelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Anthony Lupi got free in front of the goal in the 56th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Enzo Donatelli was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Anthony Lupi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Demetrio Festa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Gabriele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, Variney FC's Anthony Lupi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 79th match minute, AC Monteverde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippo Fantauzzi to maneuver through the defense. Enzo Donatelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Amadei, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Monteverde's goalkeeper Enzo Donatelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emiliano Gabrieles short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Eugenio De Palma to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
